Resolving the "Customer Already Exists" Error on Shopify Registration Forms
When a customer attempts to register on your Shopify store using an email address that's already associated with an existing account, they may encounter the error message: "Customer already exists."
This typically occurs when:
The customer previously created an account using that email.
The email was added to your customer list through a newsletter signup or manual entry.
As a result, Shopify prevents the creation of a duplicate account with the same email address.

In order to avoid this situation from occurring on your form, here is our suggestion for you to use the app function to allow the existing customers to keep submitting the form.
1. Open the app > click Forms > open the form you want to edit
2. Click the Integration icon on the left side > enable Shopify and click on Shopify option

3. Select Continue and update customer information for If customer already exist field
We suggest that you could enable this option to update customer’s information, which will allow customers to keep submitting the form and create new Shopify Customer in case the the email matches and the unmatched phone will be updated.

Save the form
Visit your storefront and test the form to ensure that existing customers can submit it without errors.
Notes
This configuration ensures that customers with existing accounts can update their information seamlessly.
If a customer attempts to register with an email that's already in use, the form will update their existing profile instead of creating a new one.
