# Repeater
Let a visitor add extra lines to one question, instead of guessing how many boxes to give them.
The field starts as a single input with a button underneath. Each click adds another line of the same input, so one visitor can list one item and the next can list ten.
> **📌 Plan:** Not available on the Free plan. The tile is grayed out in the element picker. See Plans and billing.
## 🔧 How to Set It
In the form editor, click **Add element** > pick **Repeater**.
The field is added and its settings open on the left.

## ⚙️ Settings
Only the settings specific to this field are listed here. **Label**, **Placeholder**, **Description**, **Required** and the other shared settings work the same on every field.
### **🔘 Button Label**
The wording on the button that adds another line. Default: **Add more**.
**Example:** A return form changes it to `Add another item`, so visitors know exactly what the button does.
### **🔢 Limit Rows**
The most lines a visitor can add. Leave it empty and the app’s own ceiling of **20 rows** applies.
**Example:** A “Top three colors” question sets **Limit rows** to `3`. Once the visitor has three lines, the **Add more** button stops adding.
> **💡 Tip:** Set a limit whenever a longer list wouldn’t be useful. Three lines on a “top three” question keeps answers comparable.
## 🔄 How It Works

Visitor fills the first line
→ clicks "Add more"
→ fills another line
→ submits
→ you receive all lines as one answer
```
All the lines arrive together as **one answer** under the field’s label. You don’t get a separate entry for each line.
